Election Day is right around the corner in Virginia, and volunteers from the Human Rights Campaign are pitching in to support pro-equality candidates.

Today the most populous county in New Mexico, Bernalillo, began at 8 a.m. issuing licenses to gay and lesbian couples.

This afternoon, following a court order, Bernalillo County became the third county in New Mexico in a week to being issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

As is to be expected, Ohio is an important state in the strategy to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act on the floor of the United States Senate this fall.
