The Pakistani government has recently banned the country’s only openly gay site. The site, launched in July, was the only website to offer support and counseling to the Islamic nation’s LGBT community.

The Gambian President Yahya Jammeh, has made a scathing attack against gay and lesbian persons, terming homosexuality as one of the biggest threats facing the world. Jammeh was speaking at the 68th United Nations General Assembly.

The US Secretary of State John Kerry has lauded progress made with regard to breaking down walls of injustice and barriers of prejudice at a groundbreaking Ministerial meeting at the United Nations in New York on violence and discrimination against LGBT individuals.

Yesterday, Community Business, an Asian workplace diversity nonprofit group, launched its "Creating Inclusive Workplaces for LGBT Employees in China," which highlights the business case for addressing the needs of LGBT employees and provides the cultural and legal context of LGBT issues in China.

The safety of millions of LGBT Russians and international travelers is at risk, and by all accounts the IOC has completed neglected its responsibility to Olympic athletes, sponsors and fans from around the world.  The IOC and its new president, Thomas Bach, are putting the good reputation of the Olympic Games and its corporate sponsors in jeopardy.
