HRC Colorado was able to recruit over 20 volunteers to help facilitate the process of legal permanent residents becoming citizens at the Ya Es Hora workshop in Denver, CO on, Saturday, August 1st. The morning started out with an education piece about the complicated path people must travel to become U.S. citizens and then moved to training on how to fill out the applications correctly.

On August 20th one of HRC’s Utah Political Co-Chairs, Todd Hess, attended and participated in “Hired or Fired,” a forum aimed at educating the Salt Lake City area community about workplace discrimination and its effects on the local LGBT population. Todd’s participation is part of HRC’s ongoing work to educate Americans about the need for an inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Todd brings us this report from Utah:
