Exciting news as the Minnesota Safe and Supportive Schools Act passed through its final Senate Committee and now moves to the floor of the State Senate. After having to pass through both the Education Policy Committee and the Senate Finance Committee we now face a crucial test, last year the bill was prevented from moving forward by Republicans who drew out debate until session was over to prevent its passage.
Don't wait any longer, contact your legislators NOW and tell them that every child deserves a safe and welcoming school.
Also be sure to attend Lobby Day on April 1 with our friends at OutFront Minnesota and tell your representatives in person that now is the time to take Minnesota from having one of the weakest anti-bullying laws in the country to one of the strongest.
We'll keep you updated as we learn more about when the vote will happen.
