At HRC’s 2009 Clergy Call for Justice and Equality, 10 nationally renowned clergy and theologians spoke out about how their faith traditions compelled them to be voices for equality. They spoke in the backdrop of our nation’s Capitol surrounded by hundreds of clergy who came to Washington, D.C. from across the country to advocate with their members of Congress for the passage of the Mathew Sheppard Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act and the Employment Non Discrimination Act.
