North Dakota House to vote on anti-discrimination bill

A vote in the North Dakota House on legislation (SB 2278) to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in housing, employment, credit, insurance, public accommodations and services is scheduled to happen today after the House convenes at 12:30 p.m. CDT/ 1 :00 p.m. ET.

The Human Rights Campaign issued a statement celebrating the Iowa state Supreme Court’s unanimous 7-0 decision today ruling that the equal protection provision of the Iowa Constitution guarantees gay and lesbian couples the same right to marry as heterosexual couples.
