Vincent “Vinnie” Pompei
Director, Youth Well-Being Project
Vincent “Vinnie” Pompei works at HRC Foundation as the Director of the Youth Well-Being Project. One of Vinnie’s primary roles at HRCF is to organize an annual national conference promoting the safety, inclusion and well-being of LGBTQ youth.
Previously, Vinnie was a Project Director at the Center for Excellence in School Counseling and Leadership where he chaired an annual national educator conference focused on LGBTQ youth. He also spent over 10 years in public education as a middle school teacher and high school counselor. Vinnie was also a national LGBTQ cadre trainer for the National Education Association, served as President for the California Association of School Counselors and was even selected to testify at a congressional hearing on creating safe schools. Vinnie holds two Master’s Degrees in education and is currently completing a Doctorate in Education Leadership.
