Shelena Williams, a native of South Carolina, joined the Human Rights Campaign in 2006 as a member of the Operations Department. Now as a Regional Field Organizer for the South, Shelena works with allies, LGBT organizations, and pro- equality campaigns in the region to further HRC’s efforts to ensure equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans. Shelena has amassed impressive campaign experience managing field operations in a number of states including: Colorado, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Shelena also has particular expertise in building, maintaining, and mobilizing large volunteer networks.

In her free time, Shelena enjoy shopping, traveling, spending time with her family, and the amazing three-year old she co-parents, Malik.
