Dan Rafter

Associate Director of Communications

Dan Rafter is HRC’s Associate Director of Communications. Dan manages communications for a variety of HRC's campaigns, including the 2013 Supreme Court marriage equality cases and efforts to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) in Congress. Dan also tracks the work of anti-LGBT groups, like the National Organization for Marriage.

Prior to joining HRC in 2010, Dan worked in advocacy communications on a number of issues, including healthcare reform and education. Previously, Dan worked as a reporter at NPR-affiliate WFUV News in New York, covering both city and regional politics. In 2007, his work won him recognition from the New York State AP Broadcasters Association.

Dan graduated from Fordham University with bachelor’s degrees in political science and history.
