As associate director of digital media, Carolyn Simon develops and executes digital communications campaigns for the Human Rights Campaign. Simon is a contributing writer for the HRC Blog.

Prior to joining the Digital Media team, Simon worked in HRC's publications department and worked as a copy editor at the Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif., and at the Daily Gazette in Schenectady, N.Y.

Simon earned her master's degree in magazine, newspaper and online journalism from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and her bachelor's degree in English from Union College.
