Andrea Levario
Senior Public Policy Advocate
As Senior Public Policy Advocate, Andrea Levario legislative portfolio is focused on taxes, employment related benefits, ending discrimination in the workplace and health care. She is also the primary contact for the midwestern and western regions, which include: Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Prior to joining HRC, Andrea had long career in public service. She served as a senior legislative analyst in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Legislation at Department of Health and Human Services, and for the Director at the National Institutes of Health. Her issue areas included: small group insurance market reform, medical privacy (HIPAA), genetic non-discrimination, and health care reform. Andrea moved to the administration after serving as Minority Counsel to the House Select Committee on Aging. An Arizona native, her public career began in the office of her congressman, Rep. John J. Rhodes III, where she handled health and judiciary issues.
Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and management from Arizona State University and Juris Doctorate from Washburn University College of Law.
