Adrian Matanza
Senior Regional Field Organizer
Adrian Matanza joined the Human Rights Campaign in August 2009. As a senior regional field organizer for the Great Plains and Western United States, Matanza is responsible for working with LGBT communities in the region and with various pro-equality campaigns across the country. After his first successful pro-equality campaign in Washington state in 2009 on the Approve Referendum 71 campaign, Matanza continued his work in various states to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and on successful campaigns in Hawaii (civil unions), New York (marriage equality), and many others.
Prior to joining HRC, Matanza worked with the Democratic National Committee, and the Nevada State Democratic Party working to reelect U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. While he calls Las Vegas home three months out of the year, Adrian travels the country working on pro-equality campaigns.
Adrian has a B.A. in political science from California State University San Marcos in Southern California. He enjoys spending time at home with his best friend and roommate, Michelle.
