Arizona Senator Jeff Flake took to Twitter this weekend to voice his hope that Governor Jan Brewer will make the right decision regarding the so-called “Religious Freedom Restoration Act.” (SB1062)

If Governor Brewer signs the "License to Discriminate" into law, any individual, corporation, institution, or business organization may be permitted to refuse services to LGBT people on the basis of religious freedom.

SB1062 aims to legally sanction discrimination against not only the LGBT community, but also women. For example, a business owner whose religion tells him that women shouldn't work outside the home could refuse to sell her a business suit or to seat a woman celebrating a promotion at work in a restuarant.

This weekend’s proclamation is not the first time Senator Flake did the right thing on LGBT issues. Last year, Sen. Flake voted in support of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, after hearing from thousands of Arizonans who contacted him through the Americans for Workplace Opportunity campaign.

Your voice can make a difference in Arizona.

Join HRC and others at a rally Monday at 5:30 p.m., at the State House to call on the Governor to veto SB 1062.  For more information contact HRC Regional Field Organizer .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) who is on-the-ground in Phoenix.
