HRC is looking for motivated students and recent graduates to spend the summer interning at our Washington, D.C. offices. Interns are exposed to the daily work of the nation's largest LGBT civil rights organization and can develop skills in their chosen field by working closely with their supervisor. They also receive mentoring and additional opportunities for professional development.
Interns can seek out opportunities that most align with their career path, from marketing to field organizing. A full list of program areas seeking summer interns is available here.
The Human Rights Campaign's internship program is a volunteer program. Since individuals may not have the financial means to participate in this program, HRC has set up a fund to help defray the cost of living in Washington, D.C. during the internship. We are offering a limited number of Summer 2014 scholarships to students who 1) have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and equality in their own lives and 2) are in a position of financial need.
Please see the current HRC Internship Application for more details on this limited number of Summer 2014 scholarships.
The deadline to apply for Summer 2014 internships and scholarships is March 28.
