Chris Edelson
State Legislative Director
Chris Edelson joined HRC in 2006. Since April 2007, he has been the state legislative director, responsible for tracking legislation at the state level affecting GLBT people, coordinating with and supporting state advocacy groups, and working to advance HRC’s state legislative strategy.
Prior to joining HRC, Edelson practiced employment discrimination law in Washington, D.C. and New York, including at a law firm he co-founded.
Edelson graduated from Brandeis University in 1993 with a B.A. in history and from Harvard Law School in 1996 with a J.D.
