HRC Media Center Internship
The HRC Media Center is a full-fledged production studio that serves a variety of purposes for the Human Rights Campaign in spreading its message. Some of its ongoing tasks include the production of a daily news webcast; audio production for a live XM radio show; videos for gala dinners, corporate trainings, community events,pride events; as well as advertisements and public service announcements to communicate and disseminate HRC’s messages. In addition, the Media Center serves the multimedia needs of other like-minded organizations.

Responsibilities
- Catalogue and maintain HRC’s archive videos;
- Assist in dubbing services;
- Assist in shooting with DVCPRO and robotic cameras;
- Log tapes in the Avid Media Composer;
- Assist in video and audio post-production;
- Run teleprompter;
- Provide administrative support to staff.
Qualifications
- Broadcast Journalism and Film/TV/Video Production majors are encouraged to apply.
- Strong attention to details and organizational skills;
- Experience/knowledge in non-linear editing;
- Experience/knowledge in graphic design and animation (i.e. Adobe Photoshop and After Effects);
- Experience/knowledge in shooting with DVCPRO camera;
- Ability to learn quickly;
- Demonstrated interest in gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues.
Outcomes
- Interns will develop a strong understanding of advanced video and audio editing software, including Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Audition;Interns will gain extensive experience working in a professional video production studio, including shooting with DVCPRO and robotic cameras,running a video mixer, studio lighting and sound recording;
- Interns will gain experience working for a live XM radio show, including audio editing and coordinating live guests.

- This is a paid internship -- Part time (20 hrs, $131.25 /week) or Full Time (40 hrs, $262.50 / week)
