Now is the time to make plans to be part of the second Clergy Call for Justice and Equality in our nation’s capitol on May 4 and 5, 2009.  The theme for this Clergy Call, "Moving from Acceptance to Advocacy," expresses this year’s mission of igniting religious people to be agents of change for gay, lesbian, bisexual and most particularly transgender people locally and nationally.   Religious voices stand at the vanguard of our movement for equality.  Indeed, you have been prophetic in your insistence that we affirm the worth and dignity of GLBT people not just in our congregations but in our laws, our workplaces and our families.  Now we need you to take that energy one step further so we can realize our dream of a more just nation for all of us.  Stay tuned for more information on how to get involved in local mobilizing efforts leading toward Clergy Call 2009.

Today we ask that you clear your calendars for May 4 & 5, 2009, register for Clergy Call 2009, start securing finances to come to Washington,  D.C., and share your stories about how your local community is fueling the national movement.  Keep checking back for more information about Clergy Call 2009 and the exciting resources we're developing.
